Sniper Cannon Mod - Anti-materiel weapons

if im not wrong here, the thing that causes multiple name thing can

be that the kits names are not named as the orig. ones.

for example: rifleman-01.kit, rifleman-02.kit and so on.

i might be on thin ice here... <_< but it can be it.

Yeah, ive tested other weapon mods, and got the same "bug". What i may suggest is to assign the soldiers one by one, in fact thats the only way ive always played not just this mod, but single player in GR.

i agree with you thales, have never seen the point with autoassign.

things are so hectic everywhere, so it's nice to slow down and choose

your troops carfully :D

Yeah, great part of the "magic" about playing GR is the time you spend choosing the gear and the soldiers. :)

Wonderful Mod, I have spent to much time at the comp because of this one :D

I have one problem though that I hope someone can help me with.

:wall: When I auto-pick my team, I get multiples of the same name. :wall:

Any suggestions please.

its an error in mission creating...by default IGOR gives 6 demolitios as platoon composition, so the game engine will automatically put 6 demolitions in your team, the 1st, the second, and another 4 second...LOL

to adjust this, you gotta change the soldiers that will be autotasked to the platoon

and remember,on 6 soldiers:

3 alpha

2bravo

1charlie

Cool noquarter, thanks for your feed back, its really important. :thumbsup:

The reticles that will be adjusted arent very well positioned (centralized), if i do remember well they are from two .55 rifles (im at work now, will check it later at home).

The engine of the game has some major limits, ya know, so the flamethrower cant be vulnerable to small arms ok, it will be as any other common weapon.

this mod sounds awesome, but im havin a problem... ive extracted it to the the mod area of the ghost recon folder, but now when i start the game it doestn work... i removed the sniper cannon mod then started the game, and it worked... help please

K, so you have already downloaded the zip file.

You can extract the zip file anywhere in your pc, then youll have a folder called "Sniper Cannon". Right click this folder, then "cut", go to the "Mods" folder under "...\Red Storm Entertainment\Ghost Recon", and paste it there.

(You now have a folder like this: ...\Red Storm Entertainment\Ghost Recon\Mods\Sniper Cannon)

Then start the game normally, go "options", then"mods", then (on the left) click on "Stalker_Zero's Sniper Cannon", then "activate", then "accept", and thats it.

dont mean to be a neganancy, but it is still not working.... tried what you said to do, and it is still bein a ####

this is what i did, i went to the place i saved the sniper cannon mod, opened it and clicked extract, i told it to extract to my desktop, it did that perfectly, so i right clicked it and hit cut, went to the mod folder of ghost recon and hit paste... (there was a folder in there called origmissions) i exit out of the folder and play ghost recon, the litle ghost recon image comes up and dissapears, then the screen goes black... just like it always does, then all of a sudden the screen exits out with half my desktop blocked out, and sais "ghost recon encountered an error while trying to run the ghostrecone.exe" or something like that...

what did i do wrong... is it my computer

Mmm, yeah, if the mod is installed like this ...\Red Storm Entertainment\Ghost Recon\Mods\Sniper Cannon, i really dont know what can be wrong.

You are running version 1.4 of Ghost Recon with Desert Siege and Island Thunder expansion packs too right ?

Yeah, this CTD is probably caused by the version of your GR, not 1.4 (the latest).

Your work continues man!!

I'm having a girl who emailed me (I assume shes a girl by her name) with sniper cannon problems. I pm'ed you about it thales and I will have her post here soon.

I'm at work and won't be able to help troubleshoot her problem right now. Can you thales or one of you guys help out?

My theory was that maybe she is missing a certain file and thats causing it to crash. Maybe you can have her look at her log file? :hmm:
