Connecting To Server...

I just started having a very strange issue tonight. I played the game last night and then shut the computer off, when I turned the computer back on tonight and went to play, I can see every server just fine, but when I go to connect I see the message "Connecting To Server...", nothing happens for a little bit, and then it says "Couldn't connect to server." If I press "Server Info" on any of the servers, I see nothing. I restarted the computer. No luck. I completely uninstalled GRAW and reinstalled, encountering the dreaded Error -6001 problem on my way (a 2 hour ordeal). Still no change. I also reset my modem and switch. I don't use automatic updates and I turned my windows firewall off. This really doesn't make any sense to me at all. Everything else related to the internet works. I'm going to try reinstalling my network interface drivers. It's a shot in the dark...

*update* Flashed my bios, updated my forceware drivers. No luck.

*update* After capturing packets while trying to connect to a server, I realized that my ip address ended in ".255". This is invalid. The IP was assigned to me by roadrunner's DHCP servers... They'll be getting a call from me in the morning... I suppose this can't really be considered a problem with GRAW since nobody should have a .255 address. Let it be known, however, that if you do you will experience this connection issue.

I've never heard of someone going as far to flash their BIOs to fix a problem with a game server lol =)

You could have been assigned a new IP by simplying changing your MAC, shutting computer/router/cable modem off, and starting them back up.
