TWEAKS:

Texture Management (XML): All set to TRUE

Max: 71

Notes: The FPS count was done on the second mission, up until before the second checkpoint. I can run the resolution at 1600x1200, with not much to no noticeable jaggies, but Avg. FPS drops down to low 30s. I should be ordering another 7800GTX in two weeks time I hope.

  • 1 year later...

ran into this old thread - here's a glimpse at what the game does with more recent hardware:

Abit KN9 Nvidia 570 non-sli mobo

6400 X2

8800GTX 768mb

3gig corsair XMS2

winXP Pro

---------------------

Video:

1600x1200

Anis filter : 16x

All settings ON or on HIGH

sound hardware: extreme (Soundblaster X-fi whatever it's called)

eax : enabled

---------------------

top frames : ~110

average frames : ~65-90

min frame : ~35 (when lots of stuff blows up and is burning)

---------------------

With this rig, the game is still CPU limited - I get the exact same fps at 1280x960, so I am sure that the video card can do more than 1600x1200, however, my 21" screen is just too small to bother with higher resolutions.
