Modding existing weapons

Nope, got stability backwards. A lower stability number is higher stability in the game. Don't ask me why but when I gave the saw a 10, it was unusable. If you give it a 0, its MUCH better. The SCAR L has a stability value of 0.85 and is one of the more stable weapons to fire in the game.

thats wierd, you'd think it'd be better the higher the number. you are correct though, I did have it back'rds, the lower the number the more stable it is... the scar has a point 85 (.85) and making it a whole number such as 10 would muss it up...

Where is the zeus located in the game files, I have looked and can't find it.

I want to change some settings, like the weight and I would also like that to show in the inventory screen as well.

In the weapons files the Zeus is called the Predator

Okay I found it , but how do I change the weight for in-game play as there is nothing there to change like with the other weapons?

I know now how to change the weight on the inventory screen after your help on the other weapons.

you could change the max carry weight:

data\sb_templates\global\sb_global.xml

<var name="carrying_weight_max" type="number" default="45"/>

it also has the player health multiplier in it down towards the bottom...

<var name="player_health_multiplier" type="number" default="10.0"/>

(noticed you were looking on the other forum for this or something like it) ;)

thats wierd, it had the oppisite effect for me, I gave stability 10 and it got better, not worse...

Unfortunately the "player_health_multiplier" in the sb_global.xml does not work, it might have been used at some stage during development.

There is a programmers comment "not used" before the last four or five fields in the file.

I just checked mine and it has been set to 100,000 (!) for the last two weeks or so, was tweaking and forgot to set it back to default, and I still get killed as normal in the game.

actually, i think that "not used" is just for the overall_tactical_difficulty line, so the player health multiplier may still work... have you tried using an more common value like say 10 or 100?

I think 100,000 may be a bit much, also the game may not recognize the "," between the zero's... just a thought...

thanks for the head-up though, I haven't tried it yet, but I might investigate a bit further to see what happens...

side thought: don't you need to start a new profile in order for the changes in these particular files to take effect?

Hi,

It has been awhile since I have posted, and I noticed a problem after installing both 1.16 and the 1.20 patches. Before I patched GRAW the mods to the weapons and to u_player and u_teammates "player health multiplier" that I made had worked perfectly, but after I patched the mods I did now longer works. I have even re-did the mods and started from the very begining of a mission and still it will not work.

Please any help on this would be nice.
