I really need a new psu but this one does the job so far. Hopefully this setup lasts me a few years. :) My last computer was an athlon 850 but shorted out due to the heatsink on the cpu falling off and coming into contact with my brand new ti4200. Couldn't salvage anything from that afterwards.

Don't ask me how I am able to run GR, but it does. I believe I am getting an upgrade to a P4 sometime this week.

I was counting on a nice AMD system to use, but "someone" claimed that as his. :'(

Yes.... and no

There is the one I referenced and then there is some of the parts for a new system for the KIDS :wall: ..... that their dad is paying for.

So I am still stuck with either handme down parts or my current low end system. :(

I still think u deserve that nice shiny new AMD system

I should have known that "our computer" really meant "my computer" in his way of thinking. :wall::P

I will probably still get with you to help build a nice AMD system around my video card.

GeForce 4 Ti 4200

I had the same card MSI version. Worked like a charm in my AMD system. The thing about my amd I remember is that my hsf sounded like a swamp cooler and I had to change it out every two months because it kept warping and wedging itself against the heatsink.

New RAM is due in today, so that will make him even happier. As far as I can tell he is real happy with it, he just needs a new monitor now. :wall: I am hoping to do some fragging tonight with him, maybe we will find you to join in the fun. :rocky:

Feel free to post those specs as I don't know them, but I know you helped him pick out the parts.

Thanks, Snake.

I believe the fancy blue case  holds 6 hard drives, but I don't recall if he is using all the slots or not.

The "many other o/s's" total 5.
