RooK
Go with XP. It's the current OS that is getting all the support and updates, and any future software will be geared mainly toward it until MS releases a new OS.

WickedWeasel
XP pro, xp home, xp office?
Guest Jester
XP pro, xp home, xp office? My wife and some friends of mine have pro and like it. Probably worth it to spring for it over home. XP office isn't an OS, it's a bundle of productivity software (Word, Excel, Access, etc.).
RooK
If you want more extensive networking options and some additional administration tools, go for Pro. It's only $30 more (or was when I got mine). Otherwise go ahead and get Home. Edited February 12, 2003 by RooK
