Stinger 0 Posted February 4, 2003 (edited) IMHO it is stupid. Alienware is about bad*butt* puters not little mini box pc's. I think it is completly stupid. I like their new Alienware Preadtor PC that will replace the Area 51 though. Edited February 4, 2003 by Stinger

Crimson 0 Posted February 4, 2003 (edited) Ill take a Falcon-NW over them any day. Maybe its because you get the same buck for about $500-$1000 less. Might just be me. Edited February 4, 2003 by Crimson

Alienware is only doing better than Falcon cause they have gotten retailers like Best Buy to help them sell their products unlike Falcon AFAIK.
XRW_Hotdog 2 Posted February 4, 2003 i mainly just like the towers they have. mind you though, i think it was daywander with that sweet aluminum tower that made me drool on my keyboard.
Dark Sniper 0 Posted February 4, 2003 12? Or 13? Which is it? 13 and yeah they do have great retailers covering there backs but also you have to say that the graphics and all that other stuff are top of the line without having to prechuse extra equipment. For example you get the Radeon 9700 pro with it. So I think that is a really good computer.

Nobody I know here would ever need that. The dual Xeons cost the most, then the 120GB Western Digital UltraATA 7200RPM 8MB Cache HDD's, and the RD RAM and the GFX. Heck I would take it but I would never need it all lol.

RooK 0 Posted February 4, 2003 That Dual Xeon would compete nowhere near a Radeon 9700 equiped 2600XP or 2.6ghz P4. It uses basicly stuff for servers that are meant for stability and the ability to process certain 'workstation programs' faster, not performance in gaming or general stuff. Not to mention, that ram is old and can be beat by any modern pc3200 ddr, which is cheaper. That aside, Alienware is in the top 3 of retail pc sellers. Only matched by Falcon NW and Voodoo.
