  3. Gday people, I'm still not 100% on what sort of view GR2 is set in. From the screens that are currently out it looks as though you have a ret and also a view of your back at the same time then once looking through the scope it'll just be the cross-hairs or whatever (like RvS) If this's the case, can you opt to have either having your back in view or just a ret? (like GR1) I'm hoping this's the case because I think the realism factor is higher if you cannot see yourself as in GR1
  4. Sorry if this has been talked about heaps; I haven't checked in here for bloody ages. Does anyone know what the deal is with the aiming method in GR2? Is it a reticule like GR1? Are you looking down your weapon like RvS? Or other?

    I know it's not GR but myself being an avid GR player, and just having acquired RvS I'm just wondering what all you guys think of the game. I reckon it brilliant myself; incredably realistic and at the risk of opening up that dreaded gun view vs ret only view topic(not the intention!) I think I'm absolutly in the middle; don't mind either.

  8. Has anyone out there tried modding a lever action rifle such as the (as most of you US blokes would know best) good ol' Winchester 30-30 or something? I'm not a weapons modder myself but I reckon this could be pretty cool, and even cooler if even the character model is modelled so that the guy shoots from the hip and reloads using the lever!
  9. eguang is right; the way I see it, these 'Ghosts'/SAS/SEALS/Delta/Marines/GSG-9/Spetsnaz/GROM/Jaegerkorps or which ever Special forces of the world you're modded up with to look through the eyes of, these guys are that highly trained and elite that if they were up against Georgian military or Eritrean militia or Cuban fundamentalists or who-ever they would, in general, kick ass. That's why I reckon it's not unrealistic or cheating to mark the friendlies stats up and I find this definately does help. I've got Gunslingers latest realism mod active and I feel this excellent to aid in this.

  12. Cool! cheers people, I've been wondering also how exactly it's done so that I can make some of GR's sniper rifles hella boom sticks! Any ideas how it is achieved? I'm hoping it's just a simple matter of a text change in the equipment notepad file .

Does anyone remember (or know of) a mod (can;t even remember what type of mod, but it involved having sniper rifles within) and it had one particular .50 cal, an M82 barrett I think, sniper rifle and when you hit anybody with it -and this is why I loved it so much- it'd make em jump! (I think it must've had granade 'death' scripting instead of normal 'hit-by-a-bullet death' scripting) Anyway, if anybody knows of the one or any like it that I'm talking about, lemme know!
