Installing the mod :

Extract it to your ...\mods folder under Ghost Recon, then start GR,activate the mod at highest priority.This means the lowest item is your options-mods screen. This mod is non-overwriting and should work in SP and MP.

IMPORTANT:

TO ENJOY ALL MOD FEATURES, YOU MUST ACTIVATE SNIPER TEAM - THE LONGEST KILL, QUIT THE GAME, AND START GHOST RECON AGAIN TO GET IT COMPLETELY ACTIVATED.

TO DEACTIVATE IT, FOLLOW THE SAME RULE.

About Sniper Team Mod :

This is a multiplayer coop mod, so you should play it with a partner, as a "2 man team", one as sniper, the other as spotter, to enjoy Sniper Team at its best.

> THREAT INDICATOR - OFF
> IFF NAMES - OFF
> TIMER - 60 minutes.
> KIT RESTRICTIONS - Sniper Team - The Longest Kill

As Sniper Team is originally a multiplayer coop tourney mod, you'll have the new weapons and the new sniper and spotter characters only in Multiplayer, and selecting kit restriction called "Sniper Team - The Longest Kill".

To play with this mod in single player or other multiplayer missions , or TvT matches, you will need to activate the provided "compatibility addon", with a higher priority than Sniper Team mod.

How to install it ?



Extract "Sniper Team - Compatibility Addon.zip" to your ...\mods folder under Ghost Recon.

Important note about the Scope Masks :

As default ive included scope masks for widescreen users.
Inside "Textures" of the Sniper Team mod folder you'll find a file called "Masks_normal.zip", simply unzip it inside the same "Textures" folder, overwriting when asked, to play with a 4:3 masks.
I have also included a "Masks_widescreen.zip" , so if you want to get back to widescreen masks after installing the 4:3 ones, just unzip it and overwrite when asked



What is this "compatibility addon" ?



Activate it with a higher priority than Sniper Team - The Longest Kill mod to play, with the proper camo (wood, desert and jungle), any other missions than the sniper ones included in the mod, but keeping all the weapons, sounds and masks included in Sniper Team !

When you activate the "compatibility addon", youll have more ammo in the kits than regular kits (20 rounds for sniper rifles i.e.) included in the Sniper Team Mod, what allows players to engage in any Ghost Recon mission.

We have also included in the "compatibility" addon some kits featuring a "porta bush", test it in game and youll quickly understand how to use it. Its specially good to be used in TvT matches.

The NTW-20 14.5mm API anti matereiel rifle was included too in this addon.





IMPORTANT:

TO ACTIVATE THE COMPATIBILITY ADDON AND ALL ITS FEATURES, YOU MUST ACTIVATE IT AS A MOD (ALWAYS WITH A HIGHER PRIORITY THAN SNIPER TEAM - THE LONGEST KILL MOD) , QUIT THE GAME, AND START GHOST RECON AGAIN TO GET IT COMPLETELY ACTIVATED.

TO DEACTIVATE IT (I.E. TO PLAY AGAIN THE SNIPER MISSIONS) , FOLLOW THE SAME RULE.

Extra stuff included in the compatibility addon folder :





Youll find three extra .zip files inside the compatibility addon folder:





1- Real challenge = activate it as a mod with a higher priority than Sniper Team - The Longest Kill and you'll have all reticles without pips to the sniper rifles, so you'll need to "learn" the timing of your rifle, thats much more challenge !



2- Urban Sniper = activate it as a mod with a higher priority than Sniper Team and you'll have both sniper and spotter with urban DTS camo.



3- Winter Sniper = activate it as a mod with a higher priority than Sniper Team and you'll have both sniper and spotter with winter DTS camo.

Ive been playing GR since the Demo with the castle map...I can say it is still high on my list of on-line gaming.

A great mod community even thopugh it has been decreasing over the last couple of years and the gaming is..basic..simple.. just good game playing

some news for the Sniper Team - there is an addon on the way - another 3 unique sniper missions on maps that have never been used before!!  and they are brilliant!!

pretty good, i liked it. but mission 8 crashes for me. i also recognize the map mission 8 is set in. the one with the arms dealer and weapons cashes in the other buildings. i could not find the radar in "med-evac". and could you please patch in some weapons skins. cool.

Love the mod, but darkening the scope view all the way down to just around the center of the reticle is pretty annoying. Would be better if it narrowed down to around the outer edge of the scope. If someone knows how to do this, I'd greatly appreciate it ^_^

To Twitchn32, and anyone else who does not like the reticle on the sniper rifles. In the texture folder you will find a zip file called "Masks normal.zip", unzip that, and copy / paste the files within to the texture folder of the mod. Overwrite when prompted. You now have the original rets back. To the developer of the mod, have you never actually looked through a scope?? The only way the ret would look like it does in this mod is if your eye is too far away from the ocular (eyepiece). Trust me. Ive used plenty of scopes in my service years.
